ABSTRACT

The present work of investigation has as intention To determine the influence of the program " Reading is life " in the development of the reading understanding of the children and children of the fifth degree of the IEP 72596 Nº " Cesar Vallejo " of Putina-Puno 2011. 

In this investigation we have used the design of experimental investigation cuasi with a population of 64 students (5º To, B and C), and one shows of 19 students (5º C – experimental group) and 25 students (5º To – group control) with the application of pre test and post test in both groups, that demonstrate through the pictures and presented/displayed graphs. 

According to the obtained results of the investigation, the program responds to the created problem, to elevate the level of the capacity of reading understanding in the students of the second degree of secondary education of this institution, as it demonstrates test to it T of student, where greater t =  5 in absolute value than the value I criticize of t = 2.01 found in the special tables, for á = 0,05-

In conclusion we determined that really the program " Reading is life " significantly influenced of a 15% a 90% in the development of the reading understanding in the levels literal, inferencial and critical, in the 19 students of the fifth degree section " C " of the Educative Institution Primary 72596 Nº " Cesar Vallejo " of Putina, Puno-2011.
